Kallang Riverside - Memories Recaptured

Here was the airport hailed as the finest in the British Empire . Kallang Airport served Singapore from 1937 to 1955. While it has long ceased to be in service, the former Terminal Building still stands as a landmark along Nicoll Highway. Its distinctive Art Deco structure, along with the East and West Wings, the hangar, the gateposts with lion's crest, the lamp posts and the looped driveway will all be conserved.
